Sources/Info

The contents of this site were taken from the following sources:

A Collection of Poems by Alfred Tennyson, edited by Christopher Ricks; Doubleday & Co., Garden City, NY, 1972

The Complete Poetical Works of Tennyson, edited by W.J. Rolfe; Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston, MA, 1898

The picture of Tennyson on the upper-left side of your screen was drawn by Barnett I. Plotkin.

This is a non-commercial, non-profit site.

It is the opinion of this site that Alfred Tennyson was the greatest of all Victorian poets. However, this site does not share all of Tennyson's beliefs and opinions as expressed in his works.

This site looks best when viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, in full screen mode, with a resolution of 800x600 (monitor 17" or larger) or 640x480 (monitor smaller than 17").

Crossing The Bar appears last in the indices due to Tennyson's request that it appear last in all collections of his works.

I am not a collector of rare books or manuscripts by Tennyson, and I have no knowledge of the value of any such items.

Some of the special characters used in the text may not appear correctly in a non-Windows environment.

This site has been up and running since March, 1998.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the text on this site. If you see an error, please notify me.

Thanks for visiting!
